ACT Runs a range of courses to suit the needs of different individuals. They are:

ATCL Two Year Diploma In Acting
The Two Year Diploma trains actors to work as professionals in a modern, industry-relevant environment. Students will be able to undertake the rigours of a professional career having developed sound skills and techniques in acting and performance. More Details

One Year Foundation in Acting
Foundation is a part time course that aims to bridge the gap between a basic understanding of drama and performance and professional training. Building on people's natural abilities, the course is an ideal forum in which to discover each student's unique creative potential. More Details

Students on the Two Year Diploma and One Year Foundation are eligible to apply for a Career Development Loan to fund their fees and, in some cases living expenses may be included in the loan. See Funding

Creative Playground
The playground runs on Thursday evenings and is designed for those who have some prior experience and wish to explore acting skills with like-minded individuals and under the guidance of experienced professionals. Each week is a different topic and each term is 10 weeks long. Students can enrol for a term at a time. More Details

Two Week Workshop
Our Two Week Intensive Acting Workshop runs each month and is designed to introduce students to the basic principles and activities involved in an Actor Training. It is suitable for absolute beginners as well as those students wishing to build upon previous performance experience. Tuesday to Friday 7pm-10pm.More Details

Singing / Musical Theatre
This 10 week course in Singing and Musical Theatre will be a fun and safe environment in which to build your singing skills. The course is designed to be a rolling programme so students can attend each course or just one. More Details

An Introduction to Playwriting
The course offers an introduction to some of the skills and techniques needed to write for theatre, as well as insights into the new writing industry in the UK and the process of moving a play from the page to the stage. Concludes with performed readings by actors in the Lantern Theatre. More Details

One week daytime courses in Screen Acting, Shakespeare & Stanislavski. Join for one or more weeks. August & September. More Details

Summer School - Children and Young People
Our summer school for children and young people are daytime week long courses in drama and acting. Juniors (6-13 years) take part in acting, movement, musical theatre and storytelling classes. Seniors (14-19 years) can choose from Make A Film In A Week or the Make a Play in A Week. July & August. More Details

AKT - ACT Kids Theatre & ACT Youth Theatre
ACT Brighton: Saturday classes in drama and acting for children and young people. There are four groups: Minis (6-8 years), Juniors (9-11 years), Seniors (11-15 years) and our award winning ACT Youth Theatre (15+ years).

All students can undertake Trinity exams Grades 1 to 8. More Details
