Last year I started to experiment combining Butoh with Contact Improvisation.

I think there is something interesting in this combination, what emerges, what is evoked, what is felt and experienced and seen. So I started to rent a studio once a month to explore and play.

What to expect:

The first hour some somatic work

2 hours investigating the methodologies of Butoh and CI

2 hours for structured improvised form

We will work collaboratively.

The lab is for performers with either Butoh/ CI or experience in both to put the methodologies together.
